Jewelry repair and manufacturing are completed in our on-premises facility. Your treasures are always safe with us. From contemporary design to antique restoration, we bring over 100 years of experience to each consultation. With over 70 years of history, you can feel confident that we will repair your jewelry, restore your family heirlooms, or remount your current jewelry into a modern new design so you can enjoy them for years to come.
Custom Design
We know fine jewelry because we have made it every day since January of 1950. Whether it is refashioning your grandmother’s ring into a more modern look or transforming your vision into a beautiful new heirloom, our staff is happy to assist you every step of the way.
Jewelry Repair
All repairs are done on site, in our shop, and we offer a wide array of repair services such as ring sizing, gemstone setting, soldering charms, repairs to broken chains or bracelets, repair or rebuild prongs on rings, refinishing jewelry items, and restoring family heirlooms. Bring your worn or broken jewels in and we will be happy to give you a cost estimate.
Ring Sizing
Whether your ring needs to be made expanded or reduced in size we are happy to help. Sizing is done on site. Bring your ring in and we will be happy to give you a cost estimate on your sizing needs. Pricing is based on the metal type, ring width and whether the ring contains gemstones or not. Inspection for sizing can sometimes reveal other potential repair needs that we are happy to help with.
Jewelry Cleaning
We are happy to clean your jewelry and inspect your jewelry items for repair or wear needs. From tightening a diamond to prong or mounting repair our inspection and consultation will address all potential needs.
Appraisals
Bill Farmer, Jr. is a Certified Gemologist Appraiser with over 40 years of experience. We offer appraisals seasonally January through September. Cost and length of time for completion depends on the number of pieces and the intricacy of each piece. We will be glad to provide you with an estimate and time frame for completion once we have the opportunity to discuss the project with you. While insurance and estate appraisals are a specialty, other types of valuation are available.
Watch Repair
Estimates for repair include movement repair as needed and can include detailing of the case and band as well as dial refinishing. Estimates cost $40.00-$50.00 based on postage and handling.
Watch Battery Replacement
We offer watch battery replacement service for most watch brands. We clean the watch exterior as possible and provide a new battery and gasket as needed. Watchband replacement and repair is also available.
Pearl Restringing
This is offered as an off-site service and turnaround time is usually 2-4 weeks. The price for restringing averages $10.00 per inch. The pearls are completely restrung on new silk cording, the way our mother did for 50 years and it makes the pearls look new.
